Taste a State

Never have you been able to taste a state,
not at all.
You have stuttered like an otter,
but, never have you had a taste of state.

"Taste a state?" you may ask yourself.
Yes!! taste a state, not any state, no,
not at all.

Taste your own state, it could crumble,
there's no doubt about that,
it could be bitter, or even sweeter,
but I bet you have never ever,
had a taste of state.

This is the only thing I can state today,
at this very moment in this very place,
identify, defy, comply, but still,
never leave this thought behind,
and try before you die,
to taste that state you've been destined
to rely.
